Product overview
The 25 kVA pole mounted transformer is a single phase utility pole transformer designed for overhead power distribution networks. It is widely used in rural electrification projects, urban secondary distribution lines, and utility grid extensions.
As a professional transformer manufacturer with extensive export experience, QIANLAI supply 25 kVA pole mounted transformers that comply with IEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards, ensuring stable performance, high efficiency, and long service life under various climatic conditions.

25 kVA pole mounted transformer achieve safe outdoor operation through a combination of structural design optimization, specialized protective components, and strict installation standards. The specific safety assurance measures are as follows:
Corrosion and weather resistance design
The tank is made of cold-rolled steel plates with anti-corrosion treatments such as hot-dip galvanizing or electrostatic spraying, which can resist rain, snow, acid rain, and salt spray erosion in outdoor environments, and avoid rust penetration and oil leakage of the tank.
The fully sealed tank structure isolates the transformer oil from the outside air, effectively preventing moisture and dust from entering, and ensuring the insulation performance of the oil is stable for a long time. The reserved air gap inside the tank adapts to the volume change of the oil caused by temperature differences, avoiding tank deformation due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Core and winding insulation materials use moisture-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials (such as polyurethane enameled wire, cable paper with high insulation level). The winding is cured by drying and gluing to form an integral structure, which improves the resistance to moisture and vibration.
Overvoltage and overcurrent protection system
Overvoltage protection: High-voltage side is equipped with metal oxide surge arresters, which can quickly clamp the overvoltage caused by lightning strikes, switching operations, etc., to a safe range, avoiding insulation breakdown of windings and bushings.
Overcurrent and short-circuit protection: High-voltage side is configured with high-voltage drop-out fuses. When the transformer is overloaded or short-circuited, the fuse link melts and breaks within a specified time to cut off the power supply, preventing the transformer from burning out due to excessive current.
Low-voltage side protection: Low-voltage circuit breakers or air switches can be configured according to requirements, which can realize overload and short-circuit protection of low-voltage side loads, and also facilitate manual power cut-off during maintenance.
Safe insulation and isolation measures
Bushing insulation: High and low voltage bushings adopt outdoor-type insulation bushings with high creepage distance, which are made of materials such as epoxy resin or porcelain. They have good insulation performance and pollution resistance, and can prevent flashover discharge between live parts and the ground in humid or dusty environments.
Clearance control: The internal layout of the transformer strictly complies with electrical safety standards, and sufficient insulation clearance is reserved between high and low voltage windings, windings and iron core, windings and tank to avoid insulation breakdown caused by overvoltage.
External isolation: When installed on poles, the transformer is fixed at a height that meets the safety regulations (generally not less than 2.5m from the ground), and safety warning signs are attached to the shell to prevent accidental contact by humans and animals. For areas with dense personnel, protective covers can be added around the transformer.
Vibration reduction and mechanical stability design
The core is clamped firmly by the clamp, and the windings are tightly bound to reduce the vibration of the core and windings during operation, avoid insulation damage caused by long-term vibration, and reduce noise.
The tank is equipped with special mounting lugs and hoops, which can be firmly fixed on cement poles or steel poles. The installation structure has sufficient mechanical strength to resist strong winds, earthquakes and other external forces, preventing the transformer from falling off.
Maintenance-free design and monitoring functions
The fully sealed structure and high-quality components reduce the need for daily maintenance. Under normal operating conditions, there is no need to add oil or replace components regularly, avoiding safety risks caused by frequent on-site operations.
Optional configuration of temperature control devices (such as temperature sensors) can monitor the operating temperature of the transformer in real time. When the temperature exceeds the limit, an alarm signal is sent to remind the operation and maintenance personnel to deal with it in time, preventing insulation aging and breakdown caused by overheating.
